When God Turns a Conversation Into a Calling

“Two are better than one… If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.” — Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

I was driving home yesterday after one of those days you wish you could bottle up and keep forever.

The kind of day that feels light. Full. Intentional.

I had just spent it with one of the most incredible women God has brought into my life—one of those friendships you know didn’t happen by accident. She had flown in to speak at an event we attended Thursday night, and I had the gift of staying with her, laughing, talking, dreaming… and then yesterday, we spent the day creating—photos, videos, pieces of something we’re building together.

And on the drive home, I found myself praying for her. Thanking God for her life. For her beautiful family. For her story. For the redemption woven through every part of it.

And then it hit me.

God doesn’t bring people into our lives just for us.

He brings them for what flows through us.

There’s a ripple effect to obedience. A quiet multiplication. He blesses one life… and that blessing begins to reach families, friends, communities—people we may never even meet.

Last August, we were sitting in a hotel room in California. Nothing fancy. No stage. No audience. Just a moment.

She looked at me—really looked at me—and said, “Summer, you were made for more. God has a calling on your life to be bold. Step into it.”

I don’t think she even realized what happened in that moment.

But something broke free inside me.

Something that had been holding me back… quietly, comfortably… for a long time.

But that’s the thing about God.

He doesn’t ask us to stay where we’re comfortable. He invites us into transformation.

And sometimes, that starts with obedience before we feel ready.

A few months ago, after a lot of prayer, she said something that felt both exciting and a little terrifying: “What if we stepped into ministry together?”

And I knew exactly what she meant.

Not just behind the scenes. Not just building. But showing up. Sharing stories. Speaking truth. Being visible.

I remember thinking, okay, Lord… this is going to require something from me.

Because bold faith isn’t just belief.

It’s action. It’s vulnerability. It’s saying yes when it matters most.

Somewhere between prayer and obedience, The Woman Project was born.

Not in a boardroom. Not with a perfect plan. But in conversation, in surrender, in a willingness to step forward—even when it felt uncomfortable.

Yesterday, sitting in an Embassy Suites, very much outside my comfort zone, we took photos, filmed videos, and created invitations. And the whole time, I kept thinking… this isn’t just about us.

This is about what God wants to do through this.

The Woman Project is more than a platform. It’s a space for real conversations—for the whole woman.

Not just the polished parts. Not just the strong parts.

But the healing. The questions. The becoming.

It will include a podcast, written stories, and something we’re especially excited about—the Circle Experience. A place where women can come together, wherever they are, and begin to share their stories. To speak what God has done in their lives. To be reminded that they are not alone.

Because your story was never meant to stay hidden.

Scripture tells us that we overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony.

Your story carries power—not just for you, but for someone else who is still finding their way.

There are two things we know for sure.

We have been redeemed—not because we were perfect, but because He is.

And bold faith requires vulnerability. The kind that feels uncomfortable, but leads to freedom.

If something in you is stirring as you read this, that’s not by accident.

We would love for you to step into this with us.

The website isn’t perfect. It’s not polished. But it’s honest. And it’s built with one intention—that every woman who encounters The Woman Project would feel seen, known, loved, and reminded that God is still writing her story.

Because every conversation… is for the whole woman.

And as I pulled into my driveway yesterday, after a day that felt like a glimpse of what God is building, I realized something I don’t want to forget—

That friendship wasn’t just a gift.

It was an assignment.

Not just for me.

But for every woman connected to what God is doing through it.

The laughter, the conversations, the stretching, the uncomfortable moments, the obedience… it’s all part of something bigger.

A ripple effect of grace.

And maybe, just maybe, you’re part of that ripple too.

You were never meant to walk this out alone.

If you’re ready to step into deeper conversations, real connection, and a space where your story actually matters—The Woman Project Circle is for you.

And if you’re still exploring, stay connected with us through our newsletter. It’s where we share what we’re building, what we’re learning, and what God is doing in real time.

This is just the beginning.

Come be part of it.

REFLECTION

  • Who has God placed in your life that has called something out of you?

  • And where might He be asking you to step out of comfort… and into calling?

MY PRAYER

Lord,

Thank You for the people You place in our lives—the ones who speak truth when we need it most, the ones who see what we sometimes can’t.

Help us to recognize those moments as gifts. Give us the courage to step into what You are calling us to, even when it feels uncomfortable, even when we feel unqualified.

Remind us that our stories matter. That our voices matter. That You are using every piece of our lives for something greater than we can see.

And as we walk forward, help us to be women who not only receive Your grace, but reflect it into the lives of others.

Amen.
