Plastic gods. Pretending. Shame. OH MY!
What started as a 40-mile hike with a 30-pound backpack turned into a soul lesson I didn’t see coming. The weight bruised my shoulders, slowed me down, and—eventually—became so familiar I didn’t want to take it off. Isn’t that exactly how shame and pretending creep into our lives? We get so used to the heaviness, we start believing it’s normal. But Jesus says otherwise: He lifts the load, cleans the closets, and gives us the kind of makeover no human hands could ever do.
